Good bye old friend.

It was the fall of 2007, and a friend asked me to help her sell her old Isuzu Tracker.  Could I help her put it on Craigslist?   I had never used Craigslist, but how hard could it be?   It was then that I discovered something that would change the course of my life.  Three little words, and the smallest word was even used twice.  "men seeking men."

And now, it's gone.  I hope not forever.  As sleazy as it was at times, I think it also served a noble purpose.  I would not be in this place had Craigslist personals not existed.  I liked the blank canvas it provided.  It wasn't limited to narrow fields, or 128 characters.  It provided a good outlet and never ending entertainment.  I guess I can't used the words never-ending anymore, can I.......

Ah, the good old days.

US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.

Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.
